3. Proxy Assembly & Staging

Building the rough 3D set. You review to ensure the geography of the scene makes sense.

4. First Pass Animatic (Milestone 1)

Cameras and basic proxy animations are added. This is the first time you "watch" the sequence.

5. Iterative Feedback Loop

Adjusting timing, swapping lenses, and refining the edit based on director feedback.

Previz (Previsualization) focuses on the creative aspects: storytelling, camera angles, and pacing. Techviz (Technical Visualization) translates that creative vision into real-world mechanics, determining exactly what lens, camera crane, or set constraints will be needed on a physical live-action shoot.

Can we direct the virtual cameras live?

Yes. Using Unreal Engine's Virtual Camera tools, directors can actually hold an iPad or tracked rig in a physical space, and "film" within the virtual environment in real-time, capturing highly organic, handheld camera moves.

Do you provide the proxy assets for the previz?

Yes, we maintain a massive internal library of proxy characters, vehicles, and environments to assemble scenes rapidly. If the scene requires a highly specific custom asset, we will quickly model a low-poly placeholder for it.
